De laatste jaren bleek het voor Scott en Max steeds lastiger om het cricket bij V.O.C. te combineren met de steeds drukker wordende internationale cricketagenda. Zowel voor henzelf als voor V.O.C. was daarom de conclusie dat dit het juiste moment was om op zoek te gaan naar een alternatieve invulling.

Na zes succesvolle jaren komt er in goed overleg een einde aan de samenwerkingen tussen V.O.C. en Scott Edwards en Max O'Dowd. De laatste jaren bleek het voor Scott en Max steeds lastiger om het cricket bij V.O.C. te combineren met de steeds drukker wordende internationale cricketagenda. Zowel voor henzelf als voor V.O.C. was daarom de conclusie dat dit het juiste moment was om op zoek te gaan naar een alternatieve invulling.

Scott en Max zijn onderdeel geweest van een zeer succesvolle periode bij V.O.C. In die tijd werden zij met V.O.C. in 2018 – voor het eerst in 24 jaar – landskampioen in de Topklasse, wonnen zij viermaal de T20-competitie en kroonden zij zich met V.O.C. tot winnaar van de allereerste 'Europacup I' (ECL).

In totaal speelden zij 105 (Scott) en 123 (Max) wedstrijden voor V.O.C. Daarin maakte Scott in totaal 3.259 runs (highscore 132*) en kwam Max tot een totaal van 4.569 runs (highscore 186), waaronder 7 centuries. Ook als wicketkeeper was Scott belangrijk voor het team. In zijn tijd bij V.O.C. kwam hij tot 90 catches en 21 stumpings.

V.O.C. is Scott en Max dankbaar voor hun bijdrages aan het succes van het cricket binnen V.O.C. de afgelopen jaren. Wij wensen Scott en Max het allerbeste voor de toekomst en zullen het verdere verloop van hun cricketcarrières met grote interesse blijven volgen.

After six successful years, the collaboration between V.O.C. and Scott Edwards and Max O'Dowd is coming to an end by mutual agreement. In recent years, Scott and Max found it increasingly difficult to combine cricket at V.O.C. with the increasingly busy international cricket schedule. For both them and V.O.C., therefore, the conclusion was that this was the right time to look for an alternative fit.

Scott and Max have been part of a very successful period at V.O.C. During their time at V.O.C., they became Topklasse champions in 2018 (for the first time in 24 years), won the T20 competition four times and crowned themselves winners of the first ever 'Champions League of Cricket' (ECL).

In total they played 105 (Scott) and 123 (Max) matches for V.O.C. In those matches Scott made a total of 3,259 runs (high score 132*) and Max reached a total of 4,569 runs (high score 186), including 7 centuries. Scott was also important to the team as a wicketkeeper. During his time with V.O.C., he took 90 catches and 21 stumpings.
